I’m a full-time working mom and I’m a wife and a mother to two toddler boys. My life is hectic and busy all while running my woman-owned business specializing in healthy desserts. I’m a self taught baker and have a deep passion for food.
Gaining some weight after my son was born and developing a thyroid problem, I researched to find a diet lifestyle that I could stick with long term. After reading many articles and reviews, I decided to try Paleo and lost 50 pounds in 7 months! I’m happy I made the switch.
I have a major sweet tooth and found ways to make healthy desserts actually taste good. I’ve developed a menu of cakes, pies, cookies, muffins, brownies, fruit cobblers and more!
Paleo consists of eating only whole foods such as meat, fish, seafood, eggs, nuts, seeds, fruits & veggies.
I realized that dairy was causing me a lot of inflammation. The first week I cut out dairy, I noticed my face was getting slimmer, my clothes fit better, and I just felt better, overall. So I switched to healthier alternatives such as nut milks for my coffee and healthy cereals.
The Keto diet was on my mind as well.. but the main difference is that Keto allows dairy and Paleo doesn’t! It’s also much more strict on carbs (such as sweet potatoes and natural sugars from raw honey are not allowed on keto).
After tons of trial & error through the blood, sweat & tears I’ve built my name. After posting yummy healthy desserts on my personal Instagram page, friends & family wanted to place orders. So I made a business page, and grew some fans. People started placing orders and now I have returning clients. I’m also licensed and have a sellers permit.
I started thinking to myself, “Wow, I can turn this into a business and I did!”.
